On behalf of the International Measurement Confederation-Technical Committee 20 (IMEKO TC 20) and the Department of Physical Chemistry at PTB - the German Metrology Institute under the Ministry of Economics and Energy, we would like to thank the invited speakers and participants who made our Indo-German International Conference on "Metrology for the deployment of green hydrogen and renewable fuels in India" a great success. The conference was funded by BMZ, the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development. It was scheduled from the 4th-6th April 2022 early this year.
The conference aimed to bring together experts, researchers, industrial stakeholders to facilitate safety standards, process optimization, advanced measurement techniques for energy content, gas quality, legal metrology, hydrogen production, and utilization. Besides hydrogen, several sessions on alternative energy carriers such as biogas, biofuels, synthetic and electro fuels, and smart energy materials and the crucial role of interdisciplinary research were discussed. Leading experts from the United States, Japan, Australia, Brasil, Netherlands, Turkey, China, India, and Germany shared their insights and knowledge on these topics to facilitate the rapid implementation of hydrogen and alternative fuel technologies in their respective regions. This conference also provided an excellent opportunity for industry partners to present their R&D activities and interact with the audience. To sum it up, the entire event was a great learning experience for us, and we hope you felt the same.
As promised, the event does not end here. The webinar series of lectures is planned from June until October 2022. The first event is scheduled to occur on the 8th of June, 2022, at 10:00 CEST (13:30 IST). Each webinar session will have two talks from renowned experts in this field.
